After scouring Word-Press for the last gazillion hours, I stumbled upon some amazing insights into self-esteem and how to achieve it the wise way; as well as many tips and ways to cope with life’s adversity, in positive ways
As a student of society, I still remain baffled by so much regarding the science of people’s minds. For every process that I understand on a deeper level, I am met with another that I had no idea existed. Life, and everything in it, is complex, and only partially understood. Living life and ‘getting through it’ requires constant analysis; and the perspectives and knowledge of just one other person, can reveal bucket loads about how different people think, and explanations of how they come to the conclusions they reach.
All of our experiences, merge together from the year dot. And as new one’s are added to our personal pots, our perspectives often change as life is seen through different lenses
I learnt a lot last night about self-awareness, growth, difference, weakness, vulnerability, honesty, social norms, culture, illness and lastly, but most importantly, I learnt a great deal more about the power of the mind Read the rest of this entry
Humans lie for many reasons; one less mentioned and less obvious reason, is to protect our privacy
Up until recently, I always thought it better to tell your close friends the real reasons behind your decisions and actions, as real friends generally accept you no matter what, and having true friends in your life is a blessing not to be under-estimated
I can be a bit anal about this, as I’m over sensitive about lies (even though I am at times, a liar). I like people who tell you how it is, even when it isn’t rosy, because you know where you are with them.
But I also have friends who believe they are being a better friend by not being straight with me, if the issue is controversial, hurtful and/or potentially explosive, and I see this method as just as committed, compassionate and loving.
Another thoughtful way of dealing with a lack of understanding; both methods come from the desire to be a good friend. It’s a matter of preference, rather than better or worse ways
HOWEVER, if your reasons for doing something or not doing something are kinda abnormal to said friend(s), and especially if they cannot understand or relate to them, they can and do make judgements about you that are outright wrong and hurtful, and if the reasons become increasingly outlandish, the less people get you, and the more you are subjected to being labelled something you are not

Some time ago I was talking to an old friend about love and he suggested that loving and caring behaviours are nothing more than obligations… forced upon us by society
Others argue that women have been bitch slapped into unhealthy fairy tales by Walt Disney and the like. Proposing that most women have idealistic and unrealistic aims when it comes to finding and maintaining loving relationships
Well, I have just watched ‘Love Actually’ for the umpteenth time, and I noticed that every time I welled up with tears… I also got goosebumps!
I checked out the reason for this and found out that goosebumps are linked to the part of the brain that controls our emotional responses
If love is nothing more than an obligatory act, how come our entire bodies react to it in the same way every time love or its side effects are displayed? Either in person, or through movies and songs Read the rest of this entry
Big is BIG by nature, so she did everything she could to source a giant canvas and an oversized pad, and she filled them with everything she could – A 33rd of her pie
Small is MASSIVE by nature, but when she thought small was small, medium and large, she did them MASSIVE anyway – A 32th (tooth) of 32’s

These last 2 weeks, between them, my dearest mates and my utterly fabulous sister have had me cry with laughter and love, soooo many times… through the hilarity and drama we all seem to be continuously steeped in 🙂
We’ve been on roads of discovery, naughty-ness, stress, change, inspiration, not to mention mind opening rants of world-changing, and epic proportions. There have been highs and lows and dramas galore, but more than anything, it has been special, simply because they have all been so present…
It’s been like 2 weeks of ‘Friends Sandals Heaven’
Added to this, I cannot stop watching the utterly inspiring clip of Read the rest of this entry
From Abu Dhabi to London Town.
Women are suppressed in a thousand tiny ways, and a million big ones too!
But as the song says…
I am strong, I am invincible, I am Woman
Never forget the power of the female psyche. It overcomes, it conquers, it comforts, and it never caves!
Remember Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte…Keep your friends close and you will forever be…
A strong… invincible… WOMAN
I'm looking at the beep and I'm not happy!
I want this
I want that
I can’t cope
I don’t know
I I I!
I I I I I I I I I!
Will you ever find time for… We?
All I ever wanted was… Us!
Or was it the… Weee-nUs?

They say life is one big circle of destruction and creation, a looping mass of ‘making and breaking’ on a continual rolling cycle.
Let me provide a life example of this phenomena in action, from tonight –
I’m feeling rather creative at the moment, so I decided to download a trial of ‘Mix Pad’, with the idea of recording one of my songs, and then recording a 2nd track of me harmonising over the top.
Well I began by recording me playing the Ukulele and singing on track 1
Harmonies came on track 2
Then I decided it sounded poo, so I hopped online to see if I could quickly find some free drum tracks and failed miserably, HOWEVER, I then realised I could re-create the sound of the bass drum and a cymbal by…wait for it…beat-boxing! God bless the 90’s children! And along came drums… Read the rest of this entry

Writing this actually proper hurt my brain. I had to think so hard to get this bloody lot out! I can’t bear scrolling down it one more time, so here it comes…
The deeply embedded idea that both science and medicine provide us with solid facts about disease and the physical world, is BULL CRAP!
When push comes to shove, for every truth you buy into, someone else will have been busy dis-believing it and proving it too. Evidence has officially never been so useless…
Or sought after
And we are told to believe experts! Well if they can’t make their bleeding minds up about what causes the a) and what thing solves the b) and where oh where c) really did come from. Why would we believe any of them?
Knowledge is learning everything about something; and knowing that nothing you’re learning is fact, more an insight into someone else’s surety around one ambiguous idea/topic. Read the rest of this entry
Princess Proncina, she received this little nickname for a couple of reasons. 1. She has a regal like tone to her voice when she barks orders from the best armchair in the world 😉 and 2. She also looks like a princess when she sleeps; her little welsh royal head all poised even in slumber! Oh how we chuckled at that cute sight 🙂 God I miss her…She and we are many many things, fellow Scorpio’s…she also happens to be an almost exact copy of myself 16 years ago. When we stand in front of each other, a mirror image stares back both ways. Read the rest of this entry
I think it’s safe to say that the ‘old romantic kinda love’ is somewhat confusing, and a bit of an enigma to us all… But take true friendship, roll it around in the brain for a bit, and you have all you need to know about what love is. Where its beauty lies, its darkness […]
